During a visit to Jogjakarta recently, our Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin emphasized of idea of revamping the Form 6 education policy. He stressed that all form 6 in Malaysia will undergo a massive re-branding to make it an attractive pre-university proposition. He also mention that this exercise is aimed to boosting the image of the Form 6 education to a level that is on a par with, or else better than, other pre-university courses such as matriculation.

I look at this move by the government as a positive & has been long awaited by all education professionals in Malaysia. Currently in Malaysia Form 6 is being seen as a last resort by parents when their kids unable to enter any pre-university programs. This negative perception should be abolished by the public especially when Education Ministry will took this Form 6 case as a serious matter.
